This is very well written in my opinion. But also I feel going along with the Categorical Imperative that NPC’s even though they add to the ambiance of an open world game they do not have human thought process and decision making that the player behind the controller does, who is the only one in gaming that could fall under the categorical imperative because they are the only one with intrinsic value. The NPC’s are programmed the player is not, so the NPC’s can be used as a means whereas the player’s character should not be. I view NPC’s in the real world where we can use them in the same way we would use a car, it s a means to get to a destination or accomplish a job or goal.

While everyone is different and I think this is where this gets screwed up a bit but really in theory Kant’s Imperative really does make sense. Because if everyone followed it then really only good things would come from it and people would generally treat each other better. But unfortunately people follow the golden rule in society more often in my opinion and that’s where people screw up; if you wrong me I am going to do wrong back to you. But overall good stuff dude. Keep it up.
